Marvin Windows & Doors

The ENERGY STAR program was created by the U.S. Department of Energy and the Environmental Protection Agency to help homeowners identify products that reduce energy use. Marvin Windows meet the ENERGY STAR requirements in all four ENERGY STAR regions.

Marvin products are also reusable and recyclable. They’re built for lasting performance, so it is encouraged to reuse their windows and doors that are in good operating condition. Another green option is recycling the major components (wood, glass or aluminum).

    CertainTeed Roofing

Landmark Solaris™ from CertainTeed Roofing is a brilliant energy-saving breakthrough that puts cool roof technology to work.  Landmark Solaris is a steep-slope, solar reflective asphalt roofing shingle which contains advanced colored granules that reflect the suns rays and can reduce a roofs temperature by as much as 20% in the summer.

As an advanced hybrid roofing material, Landmark Solaris combines the traditional beauty of asphalt shingles with the ecological benefits of cool-roof technology.  The result is a long-lasting ENERGY STAR® rated product.

Blending ecological technology and innovative performance, Landmark Solaris roofing is more durable than traditional shingles. The reflective technology reduces “thermal shock,” the expansion and contraction of exterior building materials.

This roofing product qualifies for an energy tax credit of up to $1500 under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.  For more information, visit the CertainTeed Energy Tax Credit page.

    Owens Corning Insulation

pinkisgreenOwens Corning is committed to sustainable business practices, and we take pride in the fact that our energy-saving products make a significant net positive impact on the environment. In fact, in the first year of use, Owens Corning home insulation saves approximately nine times the amount of energy used by our company annually.  And year after year, our insulation products continue to help conserve energy without consuming any additional resources.

By reducing the energy required to maintain a comfortable living or work environment, insulation reduces the greenhouse gas emissions released into the atmosphere through the burning of fossil fuels. Each year, Owens Corning insulation eliminates more than one billion tons of greenhouse gas emissions—equal to the annual emissions of 200 million passenger cars or two billion barrels of oil.
